Meet Katani
Hi, I’m Katani — a music therapist, singing teacher, and lifelong music lover.
With a Bachelor of Music, a Bachelor of Psychology, and a Master of Music Therapy (all completed here in Australia), I’ve spent years studying both the science and soul of music. But despite the incredible knowledge I gained through university, I also saw how much pressure the formal music world can place on performers and students — and I knew I wanted to create something different.
That’s why Music With Katani was born.
After more than a decade of teaching singing, and now working as a registered music therapist, I’ve found my passion in helping people connect to music in a way that feels free, joyful, and empowering — not perfect, not pressured.
I play both piano and guitar, but my main instrument has always been my voice. I love all kinds of music — from jazz and musical theatre to pop — and I believe that singing should feel expressive, creative, and fun. Music is meant to feel good, and my job is to help you explore your voice, learn with confidence, and enjoy the process every step of the way.
